SVA sophomore year film. SET IN THE LATER DATS OF NINETEENTH CENTURY, APPALACHIA, WITH A FOCUS ON THE APPALACHIAN FOLK MUSIC AND TRADITIONS. A PAIR OF YOUNG LOVERS WHO HAD BEEN PUSHED TO BECOME THEIVES BY THE WORLD. STEALING, AND PLATING MUSIC ON THE STREETS FOR MONEY. IN A DESPERATE GRASP FOR HIS FREEDOM AND SURVIVAL, ORPHEUS GIVES OUT THE NAME OF HIS LOVER MORI TO THE LAW. WHEN THE REGRET HITS FOR HIS BETRATAL, HE RETURNS TO THE HOMETOWN TO FIND AND FLEE WITH HIS LOVER, ONLY TO FIND HER IN THE LOCAL SALOON, SHE PLAYS A FUNERAL BALLAD FOR HERSELF, A FINAL PERFORMANCE TO MARK THE END OF HER LIFE TO HER MAN. A SILENT VET HATEFUL TRIBUTE TO HIS BETRATAL, SAYING "I WOULD RATHER WALK THE PATH OF DEATH THEN TO RETURN TO THE ARMS OF ONE WHO KILLS ME." AND WITH THIS, HE MUST ACCEPT THE CONSEQUENCES OF HIS ACTIONS AT THE GALLOWS.

Cilla’s mission to bring the last remaining people of a gang she grew up with away from the law will die with her, when she realizes their enemy : the new America, had already won.
